Citytv Barcelona
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
8TV was a Catalan-language local station in Barcelona, Catalonia, run by Grupo Godó from 2001 to 2006. It broadcasted from street-level studios on the prestigious Via Diagonal in the heart of fashionable Barcelona.
The station used the Citytv name and brand identity, derived from the Citytv system of television stations in Canada and licensed to Grupo Godó by CHUM Limited.
One original program on the station was Noticies 10, airing at 8:25 pm.
On 27 February 2006, the channel was renamed Td8 (Televisió Digital 8-Digital Television 8), and began broadcasting to all Catalonia (in analogue). Initial digital coverage was limited to Barcelona, but from April 4th, TD8 will also be available in Tarragona, Girona and Lleida.
