CF Ciudad de Murcia, usually abbreviated to Ciudad de Murcia, is a Segunda División football club based in Murcia, in the autonomous community of Region de Murcia. They play at the 16,000 seater La Condomina stadium.

CF Ciudad de Murcia were formed in the heat of the summer of 1999, when Quique Pina, a former player of Real Murcia, started the club with the help of local businesses and influential friendships.
In the 2003-04 season, CF Ciudad de Murcia had started their new path by the second division with many desire, arriving to be between 12 first classified. In the 2004-05 season, they finished in 18th position, being saved of relegation.
Impressive performances particularly towards the back end of the season saw Ciudad attain a much higher league standing in 2005-06. Influential players such as Luque and Ngonkome helped to keep them in the promotion picture right to the last day, where they lost out to Levante for the third promotion spot.
Ciudad have made a positive start to the 2006-07 season and remain a good bet to be in the promotion picture for a second season in a row.
