Rolando David Zárate is an Argentine football player, who played for UANL Tigres in the Primera División de México. He was born August 6, 1978 in Haedo in Morón Partido, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina.

Zárate has played most of his career for Vélez Sársfield in Argentina, but he has also had spells for several clubs in Spain including Real Madrid and Real Murcia, for Livingston F.C. in Scotland and Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

His most notable personal achievement in football so far was being the topscorer in the Clausura 2004 Tournament with 13 goals. He was also runner up in the Apertura 2004 with 8 goals.

Rolando's younger brother Mauro is currently playing for Vélez Sársfield in Argentina.
