Clarion University of Pennsylvania is a liberal arts university in Clarion, Pennsylvania, and one of fourteen universities of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE).

Clarion University of Pennsylvania, founded in 1867, specializes in preparing students for professional careers in fields such as education, business, and science. Clarion enrolls more than 6,500 [citation needed] students offers over 90 degree programs.

The university enrolls around 6500 [citation needed] students mostly undergraduates and offers over 95 degrees. Students for the most part come from Western Pennsylvania. The Borough of Clarion has about 6200 people and has received recognition for its Autumn Leaf Festival. The nearest major metropolitan area is Pittsburgh, about an hour and a half away.

Eighty percent of Clarion's students receive some type of financial aid.

The University maintains a regional campus, Venango Campus in Oil City, and a site in Pittsburgh at West Penn Hospital. Clarion also offers an extended studies program featuring on-line courses, remote sites, and various hybrid learning situations.
