Closing the Ring is a film set in Belfast and North Carolina, by Richard Attenborough. The film is currently in post production and set for a 2007 release, the date of which to be announced once distribution is settled.

The film opens in 1943 when a dying gunner, who was in a crash involving a USAF B-17 Flying Fortress, gives a ring to a local to return to his girlfriend in the United States. Fifty years later, a man finds the ring and tracks down the girlfriend and the history of this ring.
