CNBC Africa is a television service for Sub-Saharan Africa to be launched by CNBC and Africa Business News Limited on 1 June 2007.[1] CNBC Africa will be headquartered in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Initially, CNBC Africa will have bureaus in Botswana, Tanzania, Nairobi (Kenya), Abuja and Lagos (Nigeria), Cape Town (South Africa) and London. The channel will produce 9 hours local programming per business day. [2] CNBC Africa will be anchored by Leigh Roberts, Lerato Mbele, Nikiwe Bikitsha, Bronwyn Nielsen, Peter Ndoro, Mandlakazi Mpahlwa and Alishia Naidoo. The channel will also feature programmes and updates from CNBC Europe, the Middle East, India, Pakistan, the US and other CNBC affiliates around the world.
