Conference

The term conference can be used to describe any meeting of people that "confer " about a certain topic.
- News conference, a media event in which newsmakers invite multiple journalists to hear them speak and, most often, ask questions
- Academic conference, in science and academia, a formalized event where researchers present their results in speeches, workshops or by other means
- Business conference, an event organized to discuss a pressing issue
- Conference call, in telecommunications, is referred to as a "multi-party call"
- Conference room, room where conferences are held
- International conference, in politics, a multilateral diplomatic negotiation or a Party conference
- International Meridian Conference, 1884 meeting to determine the Prime Meridian of the world
- Methodist or Catholic Conference is a formal meeting of church leaders
