Contra Costa Community College District

The Contra Costa Community College District is a community college district responsible for the management of three community colleges in Contra Costa County, California - Contra Costa College, Diablo Valley College and Los Medanos College. Headquarters offices are located in the George R. Gordon Education Center in Martinez, California.

The district was founded in 1949, when its first campus was opened as the West Contra Costa Junior College on a former Kaiser Shipyards facility in Richmond, California. The college was later moved to a new site in San Pablo. Today, the district's three colleges serve more than 900,000 students, with a full-time staff of over 1,000 personnel. [1]
