A high level, dominating executive Carly (Sarah Clarke) is admitted to the hospital after having an episode during a conference. House determines that she needs a heart transplant in order to survive. Meanwhile, Dr. Cuddy receives a donation from Edward Vogler, the head of a pharmaceutical company who requests to become the Chairman of the hospital's board of directors. House and Vogler quickly realize that they will not be amicable towards each other.
