County Route 619 is a county route in Middlesex County, New Jersey that measures 6.39 miles in length. It carries the names of: Applegarth Road and Butcher Road. The road extends from CR 612 (northern end) to Disbrow Hill Road at the Monmouth/Middlesex County Line for Millstone Township and Monroe Township (southern end). Both ends of the county road are in Monroe.
Once upon a time, prior to 2002, 619 used to extend further north, along Possum Hollow Road (north of CR 612). It went underneath the railroad track, and ended at Docks Corner Road in Jamesburg. However, when Monroe Township officials allowed warehouses to be built along 619 (between the RR and Docks Corner), the underpass for the RR was destroyed to prevent further vehicular volume (namely trucks) to use Possom Hollow to gain access to Exit 8A.
According to commercial map services, it is suggested that 619 still continues underneath the RR and ends at Docks Corner, which would increase 619's length to 7.40 miles long. Unfortunately, the entire length of 619 has become developed, which in turn has created more vechicular volume. Farmlands have been destroyed, and new houses are being constructed in its place.
The busiest section of 619 is between 614 and 612. Since vehicular volume is high in this area, the roadway has become an avenue, featuring two lanes in each direction.
