The Cyber Research Systems Corporation is a fictional company depicted in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines Warner Bros. motion picture starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and directed by Jonathan Mostow.
After the destruction of Cyberdyne Systems by the hands of Sarah Connor, John Connor, Miles Bennett Dyson, and a T-800 (model 101), the U.S. Department of Defense obtains Cyberdyne's patents and contracts with Cyber Research Systems (CRS) to continue Cyberdyne's artificial intelligence projects. As a result, this partnership, overseen by General Robert Brewster of the U.S. Strategic Air Command, completes the construction of SkyNet, as well as early T-Models (i.e. Hunter-Killers). SkyNet is eventually given control of the entire U.S. Strategic Air Command, and ultimately, Judgment Day does occur, only it happens in 2004 rather than 1997.
Twenty-seven years later, Skynet develops and sends Cyber Research System Model T-X to 2004 to terminate John Connor's future lieutenants. Robert Brewster is the father of Kate Brewster, who is identified as one of them and becomes a target himself. This was part of the T-X's secondary mission subroutine if it was unable to complete any of the primary objectives.
