David Allen Zubik

Bishop David Allen Zubik (born September 4, 1949) is the 11th Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Bishop Zubik was ordained a priest in the diocese of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 3, 1975.
On February 18, 1997, His Holiness Pope John Paul II appointed him as the auxiliary bishop of Pittsburgh. On February 18 of the same year, he was appointed titular bishop of Jamestown and ordained a bishop on April 6, 1997.
On October 10, 2003, he was appointed to succeed the Most Reverend Robert Banks as Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Green Bay (Green Bay, Wisconsin). His Holiness John Paul II accepted the retirement of the Most Rev. Banks after he reached the retirement age. Bishop Zubik was then installed on December 12, the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, of the same year. Since becoming Bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay, vocations for the diocese have increased. Faithful say that this Bishop also brings more reverence to the mass and is a tremendous witness to the faith in his diocese.
