Hi, we need to know where the image Image:PVC Tee 90° Equal.gif came from. For legal reasons we need to know the source and license for all of our content. Without this information it will be deleted. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 17:40, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi again, I see you posted the image Image:Elbow 90°.gif, and stated that it is one of your pictures and that you released it under a GNU license. I am wondering how you took that image? It looks very professional. Did you use a light tent, what kind of camera did you use? Why did you resize it so small? HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 19:27, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

pics are my own, is there any easy way to up load pics or am i missing something? brs...............david
I only ask because they look very professional and are very small, like images on a commercial site. But if you say you made them then I will assume good faith on your part. Could you please upload the larger versions of these images? The software wikipedia uses will resize it as needed for the article, so the larger version is always prefered.
It is better to reply to me here than through e-mail. Regarding an easier way to upload images, you can put a link to an image that does not yet exist into an article, then click on it to go to the images upload page. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 21:10, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Plastic pipe systems
It looks like you created a page that's a straight copy of Plastic pipe. It's really not smart to have multiple copies of the same material, as future editors may update one and not the other. The cleaner system, if you want multiple possible titles, is just have one Redirect to the other. That way, there's only content to update in one place. Fan-1967 23:28, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- The more I look the more different titles I see this content under. We really should have only one article. Fan-1967 23:30, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
If you wish a page to be deleted, simply blanking it will not do. You blanked the content of Plastic pipe systems twice. This will not cause the removal of the page, so I added the tag that said it had been blanked, in order to alerat an admin to delete it. Without that tag, we'll just have an empty page, and that serves no purpose. Please do not remove the {{db-blanked}} tag unless you are re-adding content. Fan-1967 23:47, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
OK, the question is how many articles do you want? They all looked the same, but with different titles. What is your intention? Rather than going back to my Talk page, you can answer here. Fan-1967 23:54, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
i just want one article but there are different ways of describing plastic pipe systems. my intention is to create a basic resourse and promote the page so that other editors can be engaged to continually refine the page. sorry i'm new to this but i'm learing fast for an old man!--Davidacarr 00:00, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- OK, my question is: were these meant to be a bunch of different articles, or did you just change your mind about what title to use? Duplicate content is usually not desirable, because it isn't consistently updated. Fan-1967 00:02, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
IF you could explain how to do, is it redirect? i can then just complete one article. i just want to get it to a good base level so that I can promote it to others in the new year. if the article starts off at a good baseline it will be structured and easier to edit for others --Davidacarr 00:10, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- If you want to just pick one and work on it, I can just redirect all the others to point to it. I've put Plastic pipe systems back to the version you created, which I think had your latest revisions from the other versions. It's a reasonable title. You can work on that one, and we can clean up the others later. Fan-1967 00:15, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
thank you i will look at it tomorrow as i'm off for some zzzzs --Davidacarr 00:18, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Plastic Pressure Pipe Systems
As the main contributor to Plastic Pressure Pipe Systems, please visit Talk:Plastic Pressure Pipe Systems as I'm sure you'll want to contribute to reaching an editorial consensus on this article and how it can be improved to meet Wikipedia's norms. I've raised the initial points of links, the opening paragraph, and references. Notinasnaid 00:48, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- David, I think you made a mistake in removing the vandalism on the page. Instead of going back to the version before the vandalism, you seemed to go back to your last edit of several weeks ago, losing later edits and improvements by three different editors. I have reverted to the last version before the vandalism. Notinasnaid 22:50, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- David, please stop this edit war; it is no way to make decisions. I removed this link because there is no justification for it in Wikipedia:External links, and as stated on the talk page. I am really having difficulty here: why won't you come to the talk page and engage in discussions? This is how disagreements between editors are supposed to be resolved, not by changing anyway. Notinasnaid 23:11, 24 January 2007 (UTC) You don't seem interseted in the subject only changing content to make a name for yourself on wikipedia eg the whole discussion issue on the definition. Not every article can actually fit within a neat wikibox. As an editor I'm seeking to provide an excellent article. I have studied the policies on external links and there is a case for including the stafford link. --Davidacarr 23:17, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think I understand your point. We are both trying to create a good article here. Indeed, it's because it's so nearly a good article that I have been willing to spend so much time on it. It is quite possible for all articles to start with definitions; I don't see what the difficulty is here. I am seeking your help with getting that definition. Let's try and keep it constructive (see Wikipedia:No personal attacks), and work towards consensus. If you feel there is a good case for making the link, please do post (on the talk page). It is only by sharing your ideas that we can move towards consensus. Thanks. Notinasnaid 23:24, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
In case you missed it, I have responded to your point on Talk:Plastic Pressure Pipe Systems#Definition. In particular gases are fluids. Notinasnaid 00:52, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ownership of articles
David, it is disappointing that you still are not engaging in discussion about the page, but simply undoing many changes without any comment, as if you own the article. Articles are supposed to be edited by consensus but this cannot happen if editors will not participate in discussions. It's also important to use edit summaries, so other participating editors know why changes are taking place. It's not enough to be right, and laying down the law as in "Leave the link alone" is not really Wikipedia style.
I am moving on to other articles, since I can do nothing to improve this one if you will not engage in discussion, which is a pity, as this has the makings of a good article, and I'd like to think I could help by bringing to bear my own limited knowledge of the workings, policies and conventions of Wikipedia. You evidently disagree. In parting, I would like to recommend you take a good look at Wikipedia:Ownership of articles: I think you will find it applicable here.
