I also ask that in the future you gain hosts' permission to hotlink, as quite apart from being impolite, the act is actually stealing - using a resource without permission, for free that someone else has paid for..... I assume you aware of the irony. I also ask that you dont violate copyright regardless of how small the audience is. Thanks Dmanning 05:09, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Greetings. I find your tone somewhat confusing, as a link to an existing web element, regardless of its copyright status or the intentions of whomever is sharing it is not a violation of copyright. Posting it publicly, however small the intended audience, most certainly is. If I may, if you don't wish for the article in question to be viewed by the general public, perhaps you should either password protect it or remove the article from public view entirely. You will also find that this wiki permits people to make changes to, for example, references, as they see fit, without needing to direct others to do so.
