[edit] removal of sections
The "to" and "from" sections were inspired by the pokemon box. They'd allow for digimon with no official evolution line (say, Kokuwamon or Gesomon) to still have a list of possible digivolution. That would also avoid digimon that appear only in the cardgame to not have a super-duper long infobox when that is totally unneeded. Circeus 16:54, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Adding "Loyalty" section
Since some digimon have a "sort of" loyalty thing, e.g. Omnimon is a Royal Knight, Lucemon is a Seven Great Demon Lord andSeraphimon is a Celestial Digimon. Shouldn't we add a "loyalty" section to the Infobox.
P.S. For Chosen Digimon, we could just put DigiDestined and none for those with none. - plau
- How often does it actually comes into play in the anime? At worst, we could have something like Villain/protagonist, maybe? Circeus 13:52, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

- Actually, increasingly, but whatever, it was just an idea. - plau
[edit] Removal of Attack section
I suggest we remove the attack section or hide it because it is very long on come articles. - Plau
- I'd have to agree, info boxes are mostly for at-a-glance type info, so attacks really aren't that important anyways to be mentioned there if they're mentioned elsewhere in the article. -- Ned Scott 08:46, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- I am GOING ahead, revert if problems occur. - Plau 16:47, 17 March 2006 (UTC+8)
- I think we should readd the Attack section since it is an important part of the Digimon infos. Also many articles don't have the attacks written somewhere else. Another qustion: has anyone noticed that suddenly the levels don't appear or was this planned? Diabound00 14:13, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

- Also many articles don't have the attacks written somewhere else. They should not have been deleted from the body of the articles in question in the first place. The data is still in thesource code, and can be easily restored.
- Another qustion: has anyone noticed that suddenly the levels don't appear or was this planned? Probably an unintended result of my implementation of conditionals (brain-eating little things these are...). Please cite pages so I can fix this. Circeus 14:29, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- So far the level wasn't shown in all Digimon pages I visited, so it seems that it is a general problem with the Infobox but I may be wrong. Diabound00 15:16, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- Gotcha. I apparently deleted the variable. Stupid is my middle name. Circeus 15:48, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Character Infoboxes
Does anyone think that infoboxes should be put in for the human characters as well? They're really the more developed in the series, and it seems a shame not to give them one. I'd be willing to do it if I could just have a format to work with. clevomon 20:33, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- Not sure if the characters have the kind of info that would make use of an infobox (at least like this one). Maybe a simple one with a light border that displays an image and says what series they're from, with an optional field that says who their digimon is (although I'm not sure about this, since there are some characters who get digimon, but the fact that they get digimon is very minor and not really a big part of their character). The infoboxes are useful for Digimon, since the Digimon have lots of little facts and details, such as card numbers, levels, and such. While human characters do have a lot more information and are more developed, their info is a lot harder to summarize in that way. I guess it would really depend on the over all layout of how the human character articles should go. -- Ned Scott 05:29, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- I was thinking of something along the lines of what they have on the Naruto character pages. They, yes, list attacks and stuff, but they also add a bunch of little tidbits on the character, such as age, family members, birthday, voice actors, etc that are certainly applicable here. clevomon 11:31, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Digivolution sections in the info box template
Can we remove all the digivolution sections? That's everything from "Fresh" to the "fromrookie/fromegg" option.
Putting digivolutions in the info box is just way too complicated. It works only when digimon have one obviously cannon non-branching digivolution line.
For example, take Botamon. It's got many digivolution lines (three alone in savers), and they are all cannon. So do we list about half a dozen digimon into each box seperated by commmas?
Not only does this look bad, but it's confusing for the reader. Since they have to work out which digimon are in the same line and which ones are alternate lines.
The problem is outlined more in depth here --Yaksha 00:21, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Attribute
Having Attribute under the Card Game section is misleading because it suggests Attribute is a card game thing.
Where as Attribute does also exist in the anime. Characters make references to attributes, the whole idea of "vaccines being strong against virus" thing is also from the anime...and so on.
Digimon have an attribute in all media, not just card game. So the Attribute line really should be moved up to just below "leve". --Yaksha 00:21, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "Kanji"
Almost every Digimon name is spelled in katakana. —Typhlosion 16:18, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, that's true. I don't see the point in changing this though. This template is becoming deprecated. The new one that's been adapted for use in the new digimon articles (that is, the ones being written in the current merge effort) is Template:Digimon Infobox - where the old variable "Kanji" has already been changed to "Katakana" for the exact reason you just stated. --`/aksha 06:53, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
