Driveblind formed in Aberdeen in Scotland, in 2001. Originally a two piece singer-songwriter partnership comprising Nick and Terry, they recorded a few songs on cassette, later recruiting other band members to complete the "Driveblind sound". They are really, really, really great.
After quickly establishing themselves on their local music scene, they played several well-attended shows in Aberdeen before then heading across the Atlantic Ocean to perform shows in New York and Los Angeles. A weekend of gigs at the Viper Room led to them being noticed by music industry representatives.
They released their debut album October 24, 2006 on Geffen Records. A limited number of copies were sold with a free Driveblind pin badge.
Driveblind fuse elements of Christian rock, country, and happy hardcore to produce an inspired yet unique sound. Jack Morrice gained his musical qualifications whilst playing for local legends of the Aberdeen music scene, INERTIA. His heroes included Dave Anderson, Jacko Pastorius and Mark King from Level 42.
