Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition is a racing video game, developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games, and is the third game in the Midnight Club series. Like previous installments in the series, the game is an arcade-style racer and focuses on wild, high-speed racing, rather than realistic physics and driving characteristics. The name derived from a partnership between Rockstar and DUB Magazine, which features heavily in the game in the form of DUB-sponsored races and DUB-customised vehicles as prizes.
Players race through San Diego, Atlanta, and Detroit. The game features a number of graphical enhancements over previous installments, such as "speed smear", enhanced lighting effects, and the inclusion of flying debris and particles coming into view after the player crashes into certain objects, or travels across particular stretches of road. Testament to the street racing genre, nitrous injection and vinyl layers are also included (as purchasable customisations).

[edit] Trivia
- Rockstar Games used Gemballa versions of the Porsches and Ferraris because Electronic Arts holds the rights to their licences, which only allows Electronic Arts to feature the cars in their games. Strangely, Electronic Arts holds the rights to Lamborghini, yet those cars appear in the game. As a result, the Gemballa GT 750 is similar to the Porsche Cayenne, the Gemballa F355 is similar to the Ferrari F355 and the Gemballa Turbo Coupe is similar to the Porsche 911 Turbo and to the RUF RGT. Gemballa is German company that does aftermarket work on Porsche automobiles.
- As a possible reference to Ford Motor Company's refusal to allow its vehicles in the game, the player will eventually race against a 1981 Chevrolet Camaro which carries a Californian license plate reading "4RD SUX".
- The player may only hold up to 30 vehicles but can have up to 5 game saves to collect all the vehicles.
- The game features two songs from the Tony Hawk's gaming series - Jimmy Eat World's Pain from Tony Hawk's Underground 2 and Kasabian's Club Foot from Tony Hawk's Project 8.
- The game features signs from Grand Theft Auto 3. If you look in the mall in San Diego, there is a sign for the dog food company in Portland.
