Wikipedia-diskussion:Ambassaden
Fra Wikipedia, den frie encyklopædi
Att. Den Danske Wikipedia-Ambasade.
Hej,

The Danish Wikipedia has two competing articles for the plant taxon Orobanchaceae:
These need to be unified into a single article, which can then be Interwiki-linked with the corresponding one in other languages, e.g. de:Sommerwurzgewächse. --Naddy
- I have brought order into this mess. You will also find that I have placed the relevant interwiki-links on de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sommerwurzgewächse.

- Kåre Thor Olsen (Kaare) 31. mar 2005 kl. 10:45 (CEST)
[redigér] Rødovre and Rødovre Kommune
Hi there. It appears to me that Rødovre and Rødovre Kommune refer to essentially the same. Is this correct? If it is, there are a number of articles linking to the former - would it be a good idea to make a redirect? --Nikai 15. maj 2005 kl. 17:53 (CEST)
- Rødovre is a city. Rødovre Kommune is the administrative area. County? --Rune Magnussen 15. maj 2005 kl. 22:36 (CEST)
-
- Well, there are towns which are at the same time an administrative district. In such a case it makes sense to have only one article for both. (I'm from such a town;). But if a town is the capital of an administrative district which contains other entities, it might be better to have articles for both the capital and the administrative district. --Nikai 16. maj 2005 kl. 01:54 (CEST)

You have this image, it seems that someone copied it from English Wikipedia. However, people in English Wikipedia have found out that the image doesn't belong to the public domain. Instead, you can only use it for non-commercial or educational purposes. Such is too restrictive licence for Wikipedia. [1] You can't even use the image in Wikipedia under United States fair use law. In English Wikipedia they are going to delete the image. I think that you should do the same because the Wikipedia servers are located in United States. -85.76.146.129
[redigér] Wikizine
Hi, I am w:nl:gebruiker:Walter of the dutch Wikipedia. I am writing you because your are listed as ambassador of your wiki. I have something to say that I think you will find useful and possibly others of your wiki also.
You know it is not easy for the members of a local wiki to be informed about what is going on in the higher levels of the Wikimedia family. This because of the language problem and the high level of fragmentation of places where you can find information.
I am now making a weekly news letter (Wikizine) that attempts to provide the news of the Wikimedia projects. The concept is to list only a very short description of the news an give the relevant url to the subject. I want it to be short, only give the news that is important for all projects. The target audience include the ambassadors. It is for people who are interested in what it going on outside there own wiki. I emphasize on the news that is practical-technical. The information comes form several "news"-pages on several wikis, the mailinglists and IRC. There will be news I can not discover. If you have news found somewhere or from you own wiki please let my know. wikizine AT wikipedia.be
I can only create one version in something that supposed to be English. I count on the readers to inform there local wiki about the news in there own language.
Wikizine is send by use of the mailinglist Announce-l. It is only used for this. So people can subscribe without being swamped by emails like the lists.
http://mail.wikipedia.org/mailman/listinfo/announce-l
I hope that you and others of your wiki will subscribe to Wikizine and give feedback. So that Wikizine can become really a source where Wikimedians can find out what is going on. Greetings, w:nl:gebruiker:Walter PS: do not repond here. I will not see it.
[redigér] Culpa
Hi, in portuguese and spanish, Culpa is a word used in criminal law. A bot linked the portuguese article (pt:Culpa), with the danish one (Culpa). Is it the same culpa? --Patrick msg 5. jan 2006 kl. 18:20 (CET)
- Yes. --Palnatoke 5. jan 2006 kl. 20:30 (CET)
[redigér] Global meltdown of copyright
Hello all Wiki's and others!
Wishing solely to spread the word about initiatives to break down the copyright, I have to point to my Danish website, since 2002 operating with no copyright whatsoever. Companies and communities are gathering around the concept, which according to the traditional and mainstream media does not exist at all!
With decades of copyright restrictions, the media industry has been able to monopolize the huge and constantly growing business market within journalism, photography, information, advertising and public relations. This whole market is now being challenged by my initiative, as authorities and big companies has published still more information through PDFnet during the almost four years of existance.
Search Engines from all over the world are frequently, some daily, visiting the site in order to maintain an updated cache-version of the articles. According to Google, PDFnet.dk has a PageRank 2, which for a private homepage is quite extraordinary.
The explanation is simple: PDFnet contains real-life, journalistic information on a non-advertising basis. There are no Pop-ups and no commercials on PDFnet, technically it is simply a collection of updated articles and photos, searchable from A to Z – and through search engines as i.e. Google the users therefore find exactly what they were looking for, when they are led to the PDFnet.
It's actually just another way to use the "people of the press". Only, the press won't tell about it.
Please consider my initiative and feel free to copy the whole concept, in Denmark as abroad. It's just another way of doing business - but a new one.
Best regards Tommy Hansen editor-in-chief PDFnet
