Speakerboxxx/The Love Below von OutKast ist eines der erfolgreichsten Alben des Jahres 2003 und besteht im Prinzip aus zwei Soloprojekten. Einmal Speakerboxxx, der Teil, der von Big Boi gemacht ist, und The Love Below von André 3000. Das Doppel-CD-Album war vor allem in den USA sehr erfolgreich und belegte dort mehrere Monate die vorderen Plätze. Außerdem gewann Outkast mit Speakerboxxx/The Love Below bei den Grammys 2004 den Preis für das Beste Rap-Album. Mit der Verleihung des Preises Bestes Album an Speakerboxxx/The Love Below ging zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte der Grammys einer der Hauptpreise an eine Rap-Gruppe. Auch die Singles Hey Ya (aus The Love Below) und The Way You Move (aus Speakerboxxx) erreichten in vielen Ländern Nummer-1-Platzierungen. Weitere Auskopplungen der Alben waren Roses, GhettoMusick und Prototype.
