East Melbourne Cricket Ground

The East Melbourne Cricket Ground (EMCG) was a sports venue vocated in East Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It was used mainly for Australian rules football. Its tenant clubs were Essendon, who used it from 1897-1915 and 1918-1921; and University, who used it from 1908-1910. The EMCG hosted just four first-class cricket games, all in the 1880s, including the Smokers v Non-Smokers match in which the Non-Smokers made 803, at the time a world record innings score.
