Ernie Konnyu

Ernest L. "Ernie" Konnyu (born May 17, 1937 in Tamási, Hungary) is a former Republican U. S. Representative from California's 12th congressional district.
Konnyu represented California's 22nd Assembly District from 1980 until 1986. He was elected to the U.S. House in 1986 and served one term after Ed Zschau stepped down to make an unsuccessful run for the Senate. Konnyu was defeated for the Republican nomination by Tom Campbell in 1988.
