She is Hikari's older sister and is a very important person in Hikari's life. As an onlder sister she is very understating of Hikari. She has all the qualities of an older: time tested and mature because of this, wise when it comes to making serious decisions, and ready to include her sister Hikari in her concerns or ideas/understand Hikari's worries and concerns and ideas. And is quickly to complement and support Hikari during her performances. At the end of the series it is discovered that she has a boy friend: Arnaud.

She is Hikari's mother. She the stereotypical supportive mother who supports Hikari with all her might to point that it is even scary at times. She becomes hyper active and paranoid during her Hikaris competitions. She is quick to get up from her seat and scream in a supportive way for her daughter. And while a bit dramatic while wachting Hikari perform her routines, she is very supportive of her daughter more than any other family member besides her older daughter.

He is the father of Hikari and her older sister and the husband of Hikari's mother. Very little is known of him in both the anime and manga series. He is often seen smoking a cigar and reading the newspaper in the early morning hours of the day. He does not seem to be very concerned about the dreams of Hikari as a gymnast, but he expresses a vague sense of pride for her daughter when he sees his photograph in the newspaper after seeming her daughter winning a competion.

Is one of the gymnastic trainers of Hikari and Shiina. She is very strict, but cares very deeply about her stundents. She is very supportive of her students and knows that with hard work they can become champions.

This three characters are the comrades of Mao. They are band members of Mao's band: Mr. D eversinces they were persuade by him to form the band in the first place. They very histerical characters (espicially when they are seen running after Maria which they enjoy a very good friendship with her)that are often used for comic relief in the series). Eventhough they give Maria a lot of attetion, they tend to be very attentive with anything that moves that does not have a Y chromose. They are not womanizers as they may seem, but they like to laugh while having fun. This are some of the characters that do not have a specific clean character development (espcially since they are always seen together and have little lines in their appearances. It has been said by many fans of the anime that They are especially there to recall us how much Mao isolates himself or refuses to make compromises with the others around him.

He is one the several antagonists in the series and this can be understood by seeing him (he is always found wearing dark glasses with an evil smile on his face and near dark places cover slightly by shadows). In the series he tries to convince Mao to sign for a record deal after he sees him perfom, but only to take advantage of Mao and the musical act Mr. D. Afterwards he tries to destroy the reputation of Mao's band in other to make money out of it.Eddie represents the coldness of the industry of the disc, and the selfishness of the man who thinks only of the money. He does not hesitate to fake the contest of the young hopes for low reasons marketing. Useless to specify that this point is not without aggravating our artist. Eddie then will make worst lownesses to adapt this so promising singer, not hesitating to ruin the reputation of the group for that.

He is the boy friend of Michelle! He is a very interesting character in the series due to ways that he thinks about life and things in general. His vision of the world is governed by points firmly anchored in its reasoning. In the series he helps Mao and his band Mr. D passes by a total recasting of the group according to his own aesthetic criteria. The heaviness of its remarks, at the moment when it gives Mao to his place after hearing him sing, does not make us however not forget the disproportionate success of the group which, if it is certainly based on the charisma of his leader, would not have been so vast without some concepts of the music that the group plays. He is well mannered well spoken and always tries to do what is best based on his criteria.

They are two more other female gymnasts who like Hikari and all other competitors dream of becoming great gymnasts. They considered characters that were made to make series look better and to help bring the enviroment of gymnastic competition in the story. He is the man that speaks during the rhythmic competitions of Hikary. His main role in the anime and manga is to announce the rhythmic competitor's name, age, school of origin, and what they are going to perform. He plays a very important part during the rhythmic competitions, explaining the movements that each competitor is performing and the conflicts that Hikary and the other competitors experience while they are performing their routines. He also at the end of the routines tells the scores of the competitors and the positions that they are in the competition.

Chachamaru is Hikari's family pet dog. He is seem most of the time in the anime sleeping or resting in some other part of the house. At times Hikari confies in him and tells him what worries her or any problem she has in her mind. While Chachamaru is at first perceived as lazy, he is very engergetic at heart and is very loving to Hikari, and helps her with her training to be a champion in rhythmic gymnastics.

Legend of Light manga versions is basically an article about the different versions that the manga version of the Legend of Light series has received over the years.

Manga Version IN ITALY this comic strip is published from the publishing house Star Comics with the title it "the legend of Hikari" in the necklace salary "Starlight" beginning from May 2003. From this comic strip in 1986 a series animated for the Tatsunoko has been draft omonima. The series counts 19 episodes and has been transmitted also in our country with the title it "Hilary". For greater information it visits the page Spirits.

Here one sinossi of the sixteenth and last small volume of the "Legend of Hikari", comic strip in newspaper stand in Italy for Star Comics beginning from May 2003! The volume sixteenth has been published in Italy from Star Comics in the month of August 2004 (only in the fumetterie - ndr).

The manga was serialized in Japan in the weekly publication Margaret Magazine by Shueisha, with the first installment issued on February 1986. The manga series finnished with in 1988 collected in 16 small volumes. Recently in 2000 the manga series was reissued in Japan, collected in 8 volumes in bound tankōbon form, with less volumes, but with more chapters inside them and larger pages. The manga series was also released in Italy by Edizioni Star Comics, it was titled "La leggenda di Hikari" (which literally means The Legend of Hikari) and collected in 16 small volumes with different slightly altered covers from the original. Edizioni Star Comics re-released the manga series in Italy starting with the first volume released on May 2003 for the price of 3,10 Euro. The manga series was finnished been released in 16 volumes in August 2004. The manga has yet to be released in Germany, France, and Spain, where the TV series was also very popular. Manga is becoming more and more popular in this countries so it could be a possibility that the manga series will be released in this countries in the near future.
