Glendalough, Western Australia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Glendalough is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Stirling, however as of the 1st of July 2007, the portion of it east of the Mitchell Freeway will be taken over by the Town of Vincent.
Glendalough generally consists of below average flats and units but small enclaves with single residences border the more prestigious Wembley and Mt Hawthorn. Indeed the success of the application by the Town of Vincent to absorb part of the Glendalough was motivated by the desire of residents in the affceted area to become part of neighbouring suburb Mt Hawthorn.[1]
Many of the older single residencies in Glendalough have been demolished, with as little as 3, to as many as 10 flats built on each block (depending on the size of the block).
Its post code is 6016, which is shared with Mt Hawthorn.
