Gohei
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gohei (御幣?), onbe (御幣?) or heisoku (幣束?) are wooden wands, decorated with two shide (paper streamers) used in Shinto rituals.
Gohei is used in a purification ritual like Ōnusa (wooden wand with many shide), and it is used as an object of worship (Go-shintai (御神体?)) of Shinto shrines.
