Hydropolis
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Hydropolis in Qingdao in China, scheduled to open in 2009, will be anchored in the Yellow Sea in water that is 16 to 20 meters deep at low tide. Guests will arrive at the hotel by yacht, which will also go to a planned land-based hydrotower, scheduled to open for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Rates for suites are expected to be well above those for five-star properties. Regular rooms are to be priced in the range of other five-star properties.
[edit] Dubai location
The Hydropolis is a self-acclaimed 10-star, underwater hotel which was under construction in Dubai. However, as of February 2007, Hydropolis' launch has been relaunched, due to cost issues and concerns over the project's impact on marine life, the project has faced major delays.
