Jennifer Blowdryer

Jennifer Blowdryer (b.1961) is the author of Good Advice for Young Trendy People of All Ages and White Trash Debutante, Modern English: A Photo Illustrated Trendy Slang Dictionary, as well as numerous magazine and newspaper articles including a regular food column for the New York Times. In 1978 she founded the punk band The Blowdryers. In 1978 she received a scholarship to the Writing Division of Columbia University. In the late 1980s she organized what she called 'Smut Fests', along with Annie Sprinkle and Veronica Vera, which included strippers performing their poetry. In 1991 she played the character Futura Volare, a newscaster on KUN-TV in the Troma Entertainment motion picture Vegas in Space.
