Jordan (song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Jordan" is a song by Buckethead. A special version of this song was written specifically for the PlayStation 2 video game Guitar Hero II, in which it is an unlockable bonus track. It is widely considered as one of the games hardest songs, along with Six, by All That Remains, Psychobilly Freakout, by Reverend Horton Heat, Misirlou, by Dick Dale, Beast and the Harlot, by Avenged Sevenfold, and Hangar 18, by Megadeth.
Prior to Guitar Hero II, "Jordan" was played only at live shows and was only the intro and outro to the Guitar Hero II version, and would play another song (usually "Post Office Buddy" from the album, Giant Robot) or a short series of songs in between.
Jordan's first few bars are impressive because Buckethead is playing all of it with one hand. His other hand is on his pickup selector (which is being used as a kill switch) and his foot is on a digitech whammy, which causes the song to become very choppy, as if the sound was computerized. [1]
With the exception of the Guitar Hero II soundtrack, reportedly recorded in a chicken coop, and appearing on Buckethead's MySpace, it has yet to be released on an album.
