Max Noether
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Max Noether (September 24, 1844 - December 13, 1921) was a German mathematician. He worked on algebraic geometry.
He was the father of Emmy Noether and of Fritz Noether; Edmund Landau declined to describe her as the daughter of Max Noether; but rather stated, "Max Nöther was the father of Emmy Nöther. Emmy is the origin of coordinates in the Nöther family."
