My name is not Shamir. None of my friends, relatives, or ancestors are named Shamir. When first heard, I knew nothing of its origin or if it was actually a name. I do not particularly admire anyone with the name Shamir. I use it as a pseudonym. Consider it an acronym.
Quick tidbit:
I sometimes come off as too aggressive when editing or in talk. Please excuse me, I just get easily frustrated.

- Same-sex unions (call it whatever you want)
Stance on Iraq War:
I agree with Democrats when they say that Republicans took a wrong approach.
I agree with Republicans when they say that Democrats are only saying that because the war looks unsuccessful.
