Mourningside(not to be confused with the original Mourningside from Boston, Massachusetts) is an alternative metal band that formed in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2004.
Guitarist John LeCompt and vocalist Jack Wiese became friends when Jack's band, the.5th.element from St.Louis, MO, were the opening act at an Evanescence (which John plays guitar in) show. They became friends and started a side-project called Mourningside once Evanescence finished touring in 2004.
