"No Surrender, No Retreat" is an episode from the fourth season of the science-fiction television series Babylon 5.

[edit] Plot synopsis
Sheridan organizes a strike to liberate Proxima 3.
Sheridan finally decides to take the offensive after learning of the murder of 10,000 civilians by Clark's forces. He gets support from the League then takes the white Star Fleet to Proxima III to liberate it from an assault by six ships of Clark's forces. When the White Stars arrive, the Vesta (under the command of an old friend of Sheridan) defects while another ship flees and one won't fight. The Nemesis surrenders after heavy damage. Of the two ships who actually attacked the civilians(instead of merely being there) the Pollox is destroyed by accident while the Heracles surrenders. After the battle Sheridan gives the Captains three choices. They can go back to Earth and face Clark's wrath, they can stay at Proxima III and defend the colony, or they can join the rebellion. In the end the Heracles withdraws from the field under the understanding that their crew will be held to account after the war is over for their actions, one ship stays to look after Proxima and two sign on.
Meanwhile Londo and G'Kar sign a joint declaration of support for Sheridan (though G'Kar does not sign on the same page) and Garibaldi leaves for Mars, not expecting to return.
[edit] Arc significance
This is the point at which the Earth Civil War begins to enter its final stage. From this point on, the B5-led rebels stop sitting back and start actively taking the offensive against Clark's forces. This is an important point in the story arc, and is used as the name for the entire season. This episode also moves Garibaldi closer to his Judas role and sees the first moves towards reconciliation between Londo and G'Kar.

The Alexander is visible in the fleet that is assembling at Proxima after the battle.
Londo offers G'Kar a drink. G'Kar once offered Londo a drink to peace in "The Coming of Shadows" little realising Londo had just fired the first shots of the Centauri/Narn war.
