[edit] Story
It is an average day for the Creepy Kids in Terrortown, Transylvania. They are playing tag when Little Bigfoot trips and falls over a gate. An agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who is on vacation, notices him and gets all excited, saying "I've found a monster! I've found a monster!" and runs off to tell his friends. The other Kids join Little Bigfoot and realize that the man is going to reveal the location of Terrortown to the world, and thus endanger the safety of all the monsters living there. The Creepy Kids make it their mission to protect Terrortown's secret at all costs, since as Dracula Jr. says, it is "for our best interests" that Terrortown stay hidden from the prying eyes of humans.
However, just as the Creepy Kids make this pact, FBI agents appear all around them. The FBI agents capture Little Nessie, Circe Jr., Little Bigfoot, Frankenstein Jr., and Ivan. Dracula Jr. now has to rescue his friends while keeping Terrortown's location a secret. Whatever is a young vampire to do?
[edit] Gameplay
Like the previous CFS-based games, Robot M-A-X and Black Woman: The Terrible Twosome (based on the Adventures of Magneteer and Magnet movie of the same name) and Philip and William: Time Travelers, Creepy Kids FBI features a similar gameplay mechanic, which is to reach the end of the level while avoiding obstacles and enemies. Unlike the previous two games, however, Creepy Kids FBI includes an important side-mission: that of rescuing the other Creepy Kids from the clutches of the evil FBI agents, who would like nothing better than to show them off at a freak show. Also, Creepy Kids FBI introduces a new gameplay mechanic to the series: Individual Points or IP that can be collected by destroying enemies. These points enable you to unlock secrets in the game, such as the secret level "Horror High School"; IP is totalled up in the tally sheet at the end of each level, where a coin symbol (called a 'Creepy Coin' after the Creepy Kids) is added to one of two checklists (one each for hidden characters and hidden levels).
[edit] Characters
Each of the Kids has his/her own special abilities, which the player has to utilize to make it safely through each level. Also, after each Kid is freed, the player can choose to play as the recently-rescued Kid; certain items and mini-bosses are only accessible by certain Kids, allowing for many replayability options. Some Creepy Kids can only be rescued through the abilities of another Kid besides Dracula Jr. The characters (beside Dracula Jr.) are listed here in the order the worlds they are imprisoned in can be accessed.
[edit] Dracula Jr.
The first playable Creepy Kid. His stealth abilities and stun attack (where he swirls his cape to stun enemies) allow him to easily make it safely through levels full of enemies. Later in the game, Dracula Jr. can receive the Dracula Medallion, which allows him to transform into a vampire bat, so he can fly over obstacles that would normally be hazardous to his health. He also obtains the Dark Cape shortly before the final level, which gives him the power to shroud himself in darkness for a short time and be protected from enemy attacks.
[edit] Little Nessie
In the watery Sentry Swamp Little Nessie is being held captive. Once Dracula Jr. rescues her, Little Nessie proves invaluable in the quest to stop the F.B.I. Little Nessie is the only character who can traverse water, transforming into her monster form upon making contact with it. She also possesses small magical abilities (though she is not as versed in them as her friend Circe Jr.) which allow her to hold her own in a fight.
[edit] Frankenstein Jr.
After having been born in a laboratory (along with his mom), Frankenstein Jr. finds himself trapped in another lab, that of Dr. Wyrde (pronounced like the word "weird"). His friends come to rescue him and defeat Wyrde, who mutates himself into a harpie-like human-bird hybrid. The smaller Frankenstein possesses strength equal to Little Bigfoot, but Frankenstein Jr. can upgrade his strength by equipping the Lightning Bracelet, which Little Bigfoot locates during his exploration of the Penetentiary.
[edit] Little Bigfoot
After successful completion of the High Icecold Hills level, Dracula Jr. rescues his friend Little Bigfoot. The young Sasquatch is capable of super-strength and can leap farther than most other characters. He can obtain the Master's Belt in High Icecold Hills much farther into the game, allowing him to fight like a ninja master (like he did in the Creepy Kids episode "Truth or Dareth").
[edit] Ivan Estranovich, Invisible Kid
Ivan now wishes he had not become visible again, as he ended up captured and kept as a prisoner in the Terrortown High-Security Penetentiary. After he is rescued by his friends, Ivan steals the Invisibility Belt worn by Mr. Dickens (the Boss of the Penetentiary) and uses it to become Invisible Kid at will. While in this state, he can sneak past enemies unnoticed and listen in on secret conversations.
[edit] Circe Jr.
Daughter of Circe from The Odyssey and a magic fanatic, Circe Jr. finds herself imprisoned at the FBI Headquarters. When Circe Jr.'s friends storm the FBI Headquarters to rescue her, they defeat the Metal Mammoth, a mechanical giant guard and free Circe Jr. Circe Jr. is a unique character in that none of her moves involve physical contact with her foe (mirroring her reluctance to harm her enemies in the show). Her magic abilities, which allow her to get past mirroring walls and laser gates, can be upgraded with the Tetis (pronounced TAY-tuhs) Amulet which Little Bigfoot obtains halfway into the game.
[edit] Other Characters
While the Creepy Kids remain the only playable characters, small statuettes of other characters can be obtained by completing tasks in various levels. These statuettes may be viewed in the window of the Scare Master's shop on the Terrortown overworld.
[edit] Game Levels
[edit] Terrortown
The main "overworld" level, this is where all the Creepy Kids live. At the beginning, you can explore only as Dracula Jr. Over the course of the game, more areas become accessible as you free the other Creepy Kids.
Boss: None
Mini-Games: None
[edit] Sentry Swamp
An eerie swamp that is sentient to the point that it guards itself (hence the name). The swamp denizens do not kindly to the intrusion of the FBI or the Creepy Kids and will attempt to destroy whichever they can get first.
Boss: Swamp Master
Creepy Kid to be Rescued: Little Nessie
Minigames: Diver Diva (Little Nessie's)
[edit] Island of Dr. Wyrde
A parody of The Island of Dr. Moreau where strange experiments are performed on animals to make them into monsters. The monsters are "programmed" to attack intruders, so watch out for them!
Boss: Dr. Wyrde (as Wyrdenstein)
Creepy Kid to be Rescued: Frankenstein Jr.
Minigames: Wyrde's Creation Mutation (All Characters)
[edit] High Icecold Hills
The Creepy Kids' favorite resort site has been turned into a desolate wasteland by the evil FBI agents. Now, the place is swarming with Tourist-Zombies who must be defeated by magic, their only weakness. Circe Jr., welcome to your nightmare!
Boss: Crazy Kid (Monstrus' Zombie form)
Creepy Kid to be Rescued: Little Bigfoot
Minigames: Zombie Attack!! (Circe Jr.), Hotel Haunt (Dracula Jr.; one-time minigame)
[edit] Terrortown High-Security Penetentiary
Since no monster in Terrortown ever intends to "go rogue", the penetentiary had been unused for years. Until, of course, the FBI came and took it over, using it to imprison monsters whom they would later show to the public. This is one of the toughest levels.
Boss(es): Mr. Dickens (Warden; 1st Visit), Viscust (the Slime Monster; 2nd Visit)
Creepy Kid to be Rescued: Ivan (1st Visit only)
Minigames: Sneak Away (Ivan; one-time minigame)
[edit] FBI Headquarters (1st Visit)
The first time you visit the central HQ of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the area is small and hard to traverse. The FBI's toughest agents remain on duty here, and are a constant threat to Terrortown's safety. Take 'em down!
Boss: Metal Mammoth
Creepy Kid to be Rescued: Circe Jr.
Minigames: None
[edit] FBI Headquarters (2nd Visit)
When you return to the FBI HQ near the end of the game, it has been upgraded with more technology . . . . and much, much more room to navigate. After the FBI guards were defeated, they were turned into cyborg guards who can only be defeated with an Electro-Bracelet, wearable only by one of the girls. Circe Jr. is a good character to use here.
Final Boss: FBI Chief Murkies (as Cyborg Murkiest)
Creepy Kid to be Rescued: None
Minigames: None
[edit] Terrortown High School
If you complete the game 100% by collecting every single item and defeating all the bosses (including optional ones), you can unlock the High School which all the Kids attend in Creepy Kids. The remainder of the FBI agents, scattered after the defeat of their leader, are hiding in the Creepy Kids' beloved school. Flush them out and defeat them. You can also visit the teachers, like Sir Scabbard the possessed suit of armor, who are remarkably oblivious to the evil plaguing their school.
