Remi August Balduck (b. March 30, 1918, Detroit, Michigan - d. November 9, 1942) enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on September 4, 1940.
Corporal Balduck was killed in action on November 9, 1942, aged 24, while repulsing a Japanese frontal attack against American positions on Guadalcanal. For his actions he was posthumously awarded the Navy Cross.
In 1944, the high-speed transport USS Balduck (APD-132) was named in his honor.
