Silber (シルバー, Shirubaa^?) is a fictional character and the main boss of SNK's 3D fighting game Buriki One for Hyper Neo Geo 64 console. Also appears in The King of Fighters XI, alongside Gai Tendo as a mid boss. He's a raging character that fight with many fighting styles, like Karate. He has white hair and darken skin, a glowing red eye and wears a modified karategi with fur, that makes him looking like an animal.

The game's antagonist entering the tournament to challenge powerful fighters. He uses various styles, and he will only challenge those who have climbed through the finals without needing a rematch. He also joins KOF XI tournament searching tough opponents, as well searching Gai Tendo.

[edit] Gameplay

Silber is a very slow character, but with a high priority in his moves. His moves in KOF XI uses charging and quarter circle commands, different from Gai, that mantains the Buriki One command system. His attacks are very powerful and rests a good portion of damage, adding KOF XI's high level, makes Silber in a mid-boss hard to beat. And is harder in Buriki One, where he's the final boss.

In Buriki One, is the only character that you can't choose of the roster since beginning. But it can be unlocked in the game: you have to win with every character, doesn't matter if you continue, or if you play on easy mode. After you win with all the original characters, you'll see the blank space replaced with "Original Karate".
In KOF XI, you have 2 ways to play with him, depending of the port:
- In arcade, it's playable after 1200 hours of gaming.
- In console versions, just you have to defeat him in arcade mode. To fight against him, you have to KO at least 6 characters with a DM, use at least 2 LDM in the fights. No teamates may die. [1]

Silber in Buriki One

Apart of his raging look, Silber has a red glowing eye, just like Rugal Bernstein from KOF series.
Silber is the biggest rival of Gai Tendo, more like his nemesis than a normal rival (like Rob Python and Ryo Sakazaki for Gai).
In KOF XI, usually when Silber defeats the final character in a match, he gives one word win quotes. However, he doesn't do this against Oswald.
Also known as Silver out of Japan, his name is pronounced as "Shirubaa" in Japanese, due to the lack of the letter "V" in the Japanese alphabet. That can be romanised as "Silver" OR "Silber". Both are correct. His name means Silver (chemistral element) in German. Also his name is a shorted word of Silberner (silver in this language).
Silber appears with Gai in the nighttime War Memorial stage in KOF: Maximum Impact 2.
Also, he's one of the new SNK character cards of the recent SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters DS.
