Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse (ISBN 1-4257-3407-3) is a novel on the theme of survivalism by American writer James Wesley Rawles, first published in 1998 by Huntington House. An expanded 33 chapter edition from XLibris (ISBN 978-1425734077) was released in November, 2006.
The speculative novel, set "in the near future", describes a group of survivalists in Idaho as they live through hyperinflation, full-scale socio-economic collapse, and foreign invasion of the United States of America. It was described by one reviewer as "a survival manual dressed as fiction".
An earlier draft edition of the novel was circulated as shareware and had nearly 90,000 downloads in the mid-1990s, well before the Internet became heavily populated in the early 21st century.
Rawles is a former United States Army Intelligence officer and the editor of SurvivalBlog.
