SurvivalBlog is a daily blog on survival, preparedness, and self-sufficiency topics and assorted subjects related to survivalism by American writer James Wesley, Rawles. SurvivalBlog has been web published continuously since August 5, 2005, with daily updates. The blog averages 28,000 unique visits per week, from readers in more than 75 countries. In February, 2006, the blog surpassed one million unique visits.
To prevent flame wars, auto-posting is not allowed on SurvivalBlog. However, SurvivalBlog readers seeking a more fluid exchange of ideas are encouraged to post to the Gulching and Self Sufficiency Forum at The Claire Files, an Internet Forum operated by Claire Wolfe.
Rawles is a former United States Army Intelligence officer. He is the author of the novel Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse and the non-fiction books Rawles on Retreats and Relocation, and SurvivalBlog: The Best of the Blog, Volume 1.
