[edit] Assessment
Hello all, and thank you for contributing to this school article. I'm part of the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Schools/Assessment team, and I'm reviewing this page. I'm currently giving it a grade of Start on the Wikipedia 1.0 Assessment Scale and an importance of Low on this importance scale. For information on improving this article, please visit the WikiProject Schools Project Page.
My reasoning is as follows: Has no references and is mostly original research. Only really list lodging and historical information. Needs significant expansion with referenced material. Adam McCormick 22:18, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- What exactly were the the violations of the lingo section, and why was it flat out removed. I'm going to put it back, unless there is a good reson for removing them.
[edit] The "Jargon" section is against wiki policy
- "Lingo," "Jargon" and "slang" sections have been removed from every single school article including Philips Exeter Academy, St. Paul's School, and The Albany Academy; you may refer to the discussions on those pages to verify. Most blatantly, Jargon sections violate Wikipedia policy on original research (as found here: WP:NOR) and its policy against urban dictionaries (as found here: WP:NOT#DICT). Jargon sections are also un-encyclopedic and useless to anyone outside of the school membership, much like inside jokes. This is a resolved issue in wikipedia.

[edit] Importance tag
The campaign for the Gunnery seems relatively unimportant, especially because it just names the people who donated to it. There needs to be more info on the history and significance of the school itself on the page. If anyone is familiar with the subject matter, please help out. Nbruschi 04:07, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
