Fairpoint Communications is an American telecommunications company that provides broadband Internet, telephone, and cable TV services to customers in 18 states through 31 subsidiaries. As of September 30, 2006, Fairpoint delivered service to over 300,000 data subscribers, marking them as one of the largest providers in select Midwest markets.[2]

They are also known by many of their employees and customers as "UnfairPoint" due to, what some believe, to be draconian employee relations and terrible customer service. You have to use a telephone to talk to a person at their office!
