My name is Ferry Hidayat. I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, on December 8, 1973. My bachelor degree is in Quranic Studies and my master degree is in English. Now I am teaching English language in Universitas Pembangunan Nasional 'Veteran' Jakarta (one of private universities in Jakarta) and in LBPP-LIA Ciputat (an English training institution in Jakarta). My interests are many, ranging from sociology, anthropology, history, cultural studies, literature, and especially philosophy. I learn philosophy from many sources: philosophy classes in UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta (an Islamic state university in Jakarta), Sekolah Tinggi Filsafat Drijarkara (a Catholic-run private university in Jakarta), and books in major libraries in Jakarta.
Recently (September 9, 2005), I have become a participant of Wikipedia Philosophy Project and am having much fun in it.
