I am an Australian high school student interested in helping out Wikipedia where possible, and hope to be a prominent figure in both the Welcoming Committee and the Counter Vandalism Unit within the coming months.
Whilst I've come across Wikipedia fairly regularly during research for various school assignments over the past one or two years, it never really occurred for me to join until around May 2005, and I made my first edit here on the 12th of June. Wikipedia has been of great use to me, and I feel I owe a lot back to the project as a result.
I have a big interest in all sorts of sports, but have a great passion for Rugby League, Rugby Union and Cricket. I've tried to be as useful as possible in improving the look of sports articles, including redesigns of tables and standardising templates to be used on similar pages. With the growth of both rugby wikiprojects, it'll seem that vast amounts of work will be able to be done much more efficiently in the future, and I'm looking forward to being able to contribute towards that.
