Add malformed polypeptide chains to the Cell!
Hello. I'm Flameviper. I'm an anabolic enzyme. I think you may have already inferred that from my list of catalyzed reactions, but whatever. Um, I suppose I'm an average enzyme. I catalyzed some catabolic reactions in the past, but that's behind me now. I use specialized polypeptides to help me restore damaged proteins and such. It's a real help, almost like having another anabolic enzyme.
I'm usually involved in the area of repairing damaged polypeptides (the worst backlog ever) and someday I might get around to checking the accuracy of DNA transcription with my huge stack of DNA polymerases. And when I'm not in the allosterically-enabled form for repairing cell walls or digging through nucleotides, I monitor the transcription of new polypeptides and differentiate cells. I've catalyzed a lot of reactions through many allosteric forms, which are mainly DNA polymerase and telomerase (and some others, too). I also participate in the Nucleus and deoxyribose namespaces, but not that much.
I hope to be an organelle someday. I strive to abandon my past catebolic reactions and achieve that lofty goal.
I also have a different allosteric form and make the odd witty transcription. But usually I'm pretty self-contained and efficient.
I guess that pretty much sums up my polypeptide work. So long for now.
[edit] Availability
I am only available to catalyze reactions for a small amount of time every day. I am almost always allosterically uninhibited for an hour (or two hours) every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (weekdays). This time is usually pretty consistent, from 12:10 to 1:30.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I'm sometimes activated between 10:45 and 11:20, but don't count on it.
On Saturdays, my active sites might be enabled for a short time, and on Sundays, I will probably never be free to catalyze.
My spare time is usually taken up by floating around the mitochondria, chatting with other enzymes, and transcribing homework. I do have a life, you know.
You might be looking for a different Flameviperase. There are several different usernames for various things known as Flameviperase. Just for reference, anybody who's named Flameviperase is very likely to be me.
- Flameviperase @ Newgrounds: I'm a regular contributor to Newgrounds, and I've made 5 Flashes so far; The Wrath of Lyzosome, Random Proteolytic Violence, Super Peroxisomation, 3-D Molecular Capture, and Restriction Enzyme Motion Capture.
- Flameviperase @ ProteinScape: I'm polypeptide #1,042 on ProteinScape, under the name Flameviperase12. I don't catalyze on ProteinScape so much these days, though.
- Flameviperase @ Flameviperase.net: Yeah, it isn't up yet, but I plan on making my own cellular organism with MediaDNA. It was previously my own ameoba, but it was really bad and I took it down in March. I don't own the chloroplasts, though.
