Fleetscut

In Brian Jacques' fantasy world of Redwall, Fleetscut was an elderly hare residing within the legendary mountain of Salamandastron. He served as a personal aide to Lord Stonepaw, badger ruler of Salamandastron, and when the mountain came under threat from the Wildcat Ungatt Trunn and his Blue Hordes, Fleetscut volunteered to leave the mountain to search for help.
After an exhausting journey, he came upon a pine grove, the abode of Jukka the Sling and her squirrel tribe. He asked them for help, and although he was not well received at first, Jukka agreed to help him search for more aid. Like all hares, Fleetscut was gluttonous, and therefore not well respected by the squirrels of Jukka's tribe. Fleetscut, Jukka, and the tribe met up with Lord Brocktree and company, and raised an army at the Court of King Bucko. They used this army to launch an attack upon Salamandastron, which had been taken by Trunn and his hordes. Fleetscut grieved upon learning of Stonepaw's death within the mountain.
The old hare was part of the group, along with Lord Brocktree, that infiltrated Salamandastron using the catacombs beneath the mountain. Fleetscut became separated from the group and ran into Jukka, who was being chased by rats after having been unmasked by Trunn. The two, now friends, made their last stand beneath the mountain. Both Fleetscut and Jukka perished in the battle.
