[edit] Final Fantasy XII
[edit] Pre FFXII
Fran's hometown is Eruyt Village, a small enclave of the Viera in Golmore Jungle. She left Eruyt Village and cast aside the Green Word fifty years prior to the events occurring in the game, believing that although her kind begin with the forest, they do not necessarily have to be bound to its end. Fran's sister, Jote, never forgave her for leaving them. Overtime, she crossed paths with Balthier and was by his side since.
[edit] FFXII
Fran joined Balthier when he attempted to steal the Goddess' Magicite in the Royal Palace of Rabanastre, riding hoverbike for the duo to escape in. But they crashes during their escape, due to the Goddess' Magicite draining the engines. As Balthier joined the Resistence, Fran followed. After they were captured by the Empire after getting the Dawn Shard, Fran senses the Mist burning from the Dawn Shard being used by Ghis' scienists, overwhelmed by the feeling and entered a berserk rage, allowing her to easily split her iron shackles and, with her bare hands, knock down the guards imprisoning them with little trouble prior to the gang's escape.
Soon enough, though she have intent of returning to the Wood, she was forced to go to her home village due to the seal that prevents her and her friends from getting to Mt. Bur-Omisace, which lay past Golmore. Though normally the Viera would let none pass, Vaan's brashness convinces Jote to reveal that Fran and Jote's younger sister, Mjrn, had left the woods to explore the Henne Mines, and was taken by the humes. They depart for the Mines, finding Mjrn possessed by Venat. Upon their return back to Eruyt, Fran admits that she sometimes regrets the choice she made years ago, as she is no longer able to hear the forest, and fears the Wood hates her for leaving. Jote assures her otherwise,[1]. Fran is skeptical, thinking Jote was just trying to comfort her.[2] She leaves with the party, claiming to have become like a hume,[3] and at ease with her conscience. In during the final battle, Fran stayed on the Bahamut with Balthier as it crashed and was presumed dead until a year later when she and Balthier reclaimed the Strahl.
[edit] Revenant Wings
