[edit] Image:Ryo Fukawa.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ryo Fukawa.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 03:42, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RefDeskBot Mess-up
Hi - thanks for explaining that problem to me on my talk page, and apologies for the time I took to respond! I took at look at RDB's contribs, and it seems to have archived the HD twice - which probably caused the problem. Luckily, I know exactly why - the archival didn't run at midnight, so I had to run it manually at around 11:26 UTC - but I put the code in a while(true) statement - ie - it decided to run infinitely. I though I'd caught the problem in time, but it appears not! This is my theory for why it happenned (that is - it's my fault!), but I may be wrong, though this seems to be the most obvious reason. Thanks again -- Martinp23 11:27, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RfA thanks
I'd like to express my huge thanks to you, Freshgavin, for your support in my recent RfA, which closed with 100% support at 71/0/1. Needless to say, I am very suprised at the huge levels of support I've seen on my RfA, and at the fact that I only had give three answers, unlike many other nominees who have had many, many more questions! I'll be careful with my use of the tools, and invite you to tell me off if I do something wrong! Thanks, Martinp23 14:49, 18 November 2006 (UTC) |
- About Refdeskbot - I'd just better make it clear that I prefer the current system above anything else and am quite happy with it (I'd have to say that :p). Hopefully people will settle down about the change soon (and the IP who took offence at it has left a message at WT:BOTS, asking for a change, just FYI). Thanks - Martinp23 18:19, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Reference desk archives
I dug up this old page, which is older than what you have there. I moved it to the reference desk archive and made the old page a redirect. Just wanted to let you know, in case you wanted to parse it to make it look like the other ones. --frothT C 06:58, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reference Desk Problem
I don't know if someone does it manually or if its done by a bot, however, the porblem lies here.
All Question before December 31 have been archived.
However this is not being done for Jan 1, 2007 on all reference desks, and now they are exploding in size.
Furthermore the new Entertainment desk has never been archived.
What I mean by archive is you know once archived {{is there on the start date of archive with the date}}. --Judged 05:00, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Electronic music
- If you are receiving this message, you are currently listed as a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Electronic music. We need more active members at Wikipedia:WikiProject Electronic music. So please tell your friends who like electronic music and are willing to put in hours writing about it. If there are any suggestions for features for this Wikiproject I will help out with them and see what I can do. Please add any projects you are working on to the list - I will gladly help out with them as best I can. Since the original project founder has been MIA for 9 months or so, I'm declaring myself pseudo-king and cheerleader of this Wikiproject. Basically, that probably means that I'm just going to do the most work related to this project for now. For anyone who is reading this: PLEASE TELL YOUR WIKI AND REAL-LIFE FRIENDS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN ELECTRONIC MUSIC ABOUT THIS PROJECT! We need active members! Wickethewok 11:11, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Logo-text-japanese-2.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Logo-text-japanese-2.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:06, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Waikui.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Waikui.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Image:Becky.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Becky.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
Thank you. MECU≈talk 23:31, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Back in January 2006 you listed rakugo for clean up. I just went through it, and am wondering what you think of it now. DocWatson42 22:36, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
