Guitar Hero II tai Guitar Hero 2 on RedOctanen julkaisema peli, joka tähän mennessä on tehty vain Playstation 2:lle. Pelin ideana on soittaa tunnettuja ja vähemmän tunnettuja musiikkikappaleita käyttämällä erityistä kitaraohjainta, joka on suunniteltu peliä varten.

Peliohjaimena toimii punainen tai musta Gibson SG:n mallinen kitaraohjain, jonka kaulassa on viisi eriväristä näppäintä (vihreä, punainen, keltainen, sininen ja oranssi) jotka edustavat tavallisen kitaran nauhoja. Ohjaimen rungossa on valkoinen pala, joka taas edustaa kielien näppäilyä. Näitä yhdessä käyttämällä pystyy soittamaan pelissä vastaan tulevia nuotteja. Pitkissä nuoteissa voi käyttää "Whammy baria" joka toimii vibrakampena. Se toimii heiluttamalla sitä edestakaisin.
