A Momentary Lapse of Reason est le premier album de Pink Floyd après le départ de Roger Waters, sorti en 1987.
L'atmosphère de l'album est plutôt sombre, les singles Learning to Fly et On the Turning Away remportent un succès commercial correct tandis que Sorrow deviendra un classique des concerts des tournées de 87 et 94 de Pink Floyd. Richard Wright n'a pas composé sur cet album : il faisait partie du groupe en tant que simple musicien, ce qui engendre une certaine controverse chez les fans.
