Buenos Aires Forum

Le Buenos Aires Forum (BAF, en abrégé) est un projet qui n'en est qu'à ses débuts et n'a reçu jusqu'ici aucune autorisation ni approbation des autorités. Il prétend construire à Buenos Aires en Argentine, l'édifice le plus haut du monde à partir de 2010, afin de le terminer en 2016.
Le projet, dont l'auteur est le groupe argentin Torcello, prétend édifier sur le Río de la Plata à Buenos Aires, le BAF 2010 ou "Centre International de Commerce et de Télécommunication" en l'honneur du bicentenaire de l'indépendance du pays qui se produira en Argentine en 2016.
Pour un prix de 3.300 millions de dollars, l'architecte propose de contruire six plateformes sur pilotis de 55 hectares chacune approximativement, qui supporteraient six îles artificielles représentant les six continents (cinq plus l'Antarctique), et qui serviraient de base pour un gratte-ciel de 999 mètres de hauteur, situé lui sur une septième île, au centre des six premières.
L'objectif est de "resituer l'Argentine au centre des investissements internationaux" et surtout tourner définitivement le dos à la crise économique argentine dont les traumatismes sont loin d'être tous effacés.
Contre la réalisation de ce projet pharaonique, joue le fait qu'un chantier d'une telle envergure n'a jamais été réalisé ni de près ni de loin par le groupe auteur du projet.
