Michel Petrucciani (né le 28 décembre 1962 à Orange et décédé le 5 janvier 1999 à New York (Manhattan)) était un pianiste de jazz .

Atteint d’ostéogenèse imparfaite, il surmonta son handicap pour devenir un artiste talentueux de renommée internationale, parmi les plus grands pianistes de jazz du monde. Son jeu est caractérisé par une exceptionnelle indépendance des mains gauche et droite, dans le son et dans le rythme. Egalement compositeur, il avait une préférence pour les thèmes brésiliens, toujours présents dans ses disques. Il repose au cimetière du Père Lachaise à Paris.

Son père, Antoine Petrucciani, dit « Tony », guitariste de jazz renommé, a été son professeur de musique et a collaboré par la suite sur plusieurs de ses albums. Il apprend le piano à son fils, et également la guitare à Marianne James. Ses deux frères sont égalements musiciens. Louis est contrebassiste et Philippe, guitariste. Tony Petrucciani vivait à Toulon dans le Var. Il a, durant de nombreuses années, dispensé des cours de guitare jazz dans les écoles municipales de musique de Carnoules, Solliès-Toucas et la Londe-les-Maures.

Certains de ses albums sont réalisés par André Manoukian.
