Geomancer is a Dungeons and Dragons prestige class first introduced in Masters of the Wild, then updated for 3.5 edition in Complete Divine. The Geomancer is a hybrid Arcane/Divine caster that has learned to draw magic power from the very earth itself, though at the cost of his humanity.

[edit] Class Features
To become a Geomancer, one needs to be able to cast 2nd level Arcane and 2nd level Divine spells, and have 6 ranks in Knowledge (Arcana) and Knowledge (Religion). The Geomancer has a Cleric's BAB progression, and good Will and Fortitude saves. He only has 4+int skill points per level and D6 HD progression. The Geomancer advances your Caster Level by 1 for one of your magic schools; unlike the Mystic Theurge or Fochlucan Lyrist, the class doesn't gain progression for both the Arcane and Divine list. The Geomancer has three main features.
[edit] Spell Versatility
A Geomancer has a Spell Versatility score equal to its class level-1. When casting a spell equal to or lower than the Versatility score, the Geomancer may alter spell parameters from both lists. For instance, a Sorcerer/Cleric could cast Cleric spells off of Charisma, Sorcerer Spells off of Wisdom, or cast Arcane spells in armor with no Spell Failure Chance. However, a Druid/Sorcerer cannot wear metal armor, just because the strictures are religion rather than capability-based.
[edit] Ley-Lines
A Geomancer can choose several favored terrains. When casting in these areas, the Geomancer gets a positive modifier to his caster level.
[edit] Drifts
Every level, the Geomancer gains a Drift, a bestial mutation representing his loss of humanity. Each drift has a power rating from 1 to 5, with level 1 effects being purely cosmetic, and level 5 offering powers ranging from flight to blindsense. The Geomancer must take two level 1 Drifts before he can take a level 2 Drift, 2 level 2 Drifts before he can take a level 3 Drift, etc.
