George Rose (rugby league footballer)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
George Rose (born 13 March 1983) is a professional rugby league player who currently plays for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the National Rugby League in Australia. His preferred position is prop because of his large size; he weighs 116kg. He usually sits on the interchange bench as what can be described as an "impact player". His former club was the Sydney Roosters, whom he left at the end of 2005 for an opportunity with Manly.
George has since become a popular player among members of the Northern Beaches public despite never having started a game off the bench. The hype surrounding him has been described as "Mark Tookey like" by NRL commentators.
